Mr. AKM Zakir Hossein is a partner of HASAN HOSSEIN & Co., Chartered Accountants consisting of two Partners which provide various professional services in the areas of Audit & Assurance, Accounting Services (i.e. preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS), Regulatory & Compliance, Business Advisory, Taxation, Management Services, etc. The partners have a wide range of experiences for more than 20 years in the respective fields as well as in corporate world like banks, NBFIs, MNCs, manufacturing concerns, NGOs, other local companies, etc.
Mr. Hossein was trained at ACNABIN, Chartered Accountants as an articled student during 2002 to 2005 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2012. Now he is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). He also served as Audit Supervisor/Deputy Manager for 1 year. Mr. Hossein has obtained wide range of experience in auditing & consultancy services in banking & non-banking financial institutions, NGOs, MNC and other local companies.
Mr. Zakir completed his BBA and MBA from Accounting and Information System Department of University of Dhaka. He passed HSC from Notre Dame College, Dhaka.
Mr. Zakir joined Eastern Bank PLC during 2006 and served in different roles for 18 years, such as:
- As Head of Credit Administration of Eastern Bank PLC
- Head of Head of Loan Operations, MIS & Regulatory Reporting at EBL
- Associate Manager- Senior Manager at Credit Administration at EBL
- Core Team Member of Bank’s CBS Migration
- In order to expand his professional skills, Mr. Zakir has taken part in numerous training
courses on various banking topics in and outside Bangladesh.
Credit Administration Department of Eastern Bank Ltd. is operated centrally and has been segregated into following basic areas, such as- loan documentation, limit administration, loan disbursements & adjustment, MIS & regulatory reporting, ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements, facing all types of audits (internal, External, BB).
Mr. Zakir is also expert in forensic audit in Banking & Non-Banking Financial Institutions, especially for credit origination, approval process, loan transactions, loan documentation, compliance of BB and internal circulars, loan recovery, etc.
Mr. Zakir is also serving as consultant to assist in developing software, especially for Banks & Non-Banking Financial Institution.
Mr. Zakir is associated with different Alumni, such as life member of accounting Alumni, University of Dhaka and Alumni of Notre Dame College, Dhaka.
