About VFMA

Versatile Finance and Management Associates (VFMA) is a newly established consultancy firm based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Our mission is to deliver high-impact financial advisory and strategic consulting services that drive inclusive growth, investment efficiency, and institutional transformation.

We provide a wide range of advisory services spanning Corporate, CMSME development, Capital Market, Foreign Investment advisory, regulatory compliance, market research, and business process optimization. Our clients include startups, small and medium enterprises, financial institutions, and government-linked bodies.

As part of our strategic growth, we are investing in building a distinctive and intelligent brand identity that reflects our values and vision. This position is a foundational role in that journey.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Design Associate (Brand & Visual) to lead the development and execution of VFMA’s visual identity. This is a mid-level, cross-functional role where you will be responsible not only for the production of high-quality design assets but also for contributing to how our brand is perceived, experienced, and evolved.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical design skills and conceptual thinking, with the ability to explain design decisions in a strategic context. You should be capable of balancing creative independence with collaborative input from leadership and external developers.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Identity Development

  • Lead the design and evolution of VFMA’s core brand elements—logo, color systems, typography, iconography, layout principles, etc.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive brand style guide.
  • Ensure visual consistency across all internal and external communication materials.

Design Execution

  • Produce marketing and corporate collateral including:
    • Company profile and investment decks
    • Reports and whitepapers
    • Social media visuals
    • Event and exhibition materials
    • Website and digital asset layouts (in collaboration with web developers)
  • Translate complex ideas into visually engaging and professional content.

Strategic Input & Research

  • Conduct research into global branding trends—especially within financial, consulting, and impact sectors.
  • Offer input into the brand’s narrative, tone, and visual positioning.
  • Present rationale for visual choices to internal stakeholders.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work independently to manage design requests, timelines, and revisions.
  • Coordinate with outsourced developers or consultants on design execution across digital platforms.
  • Maintain organized design assets and version control.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (completed) in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a relevant field.
  • At least 6-12 months of professional design experience, preferably including brand identity work.
    • Exceptional candidates with less experience but a strong portfolio will also be considered.

Core Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Figma. Familiarity with Canva is an added advantage.
  • Ability to conceptualize and implement original design ideas aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and information hierarchy.
  • Ability to articulate design choices within strategic and brand contexts.

Desirable Qualities

  • Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or financial sectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic UX/UI principles.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with minimal supervision.
  • Thoughtful and inquisitive—asks “why” before designing “how.”

Compensation

  • Salary: Negotiable, based on qualifications and portfolio strength.
  • Performance-based reviews and growth opportunities within the organization.
